As above really, I watched the two above films which are documentary films on the Afghan war but are based on actual footage from the ground.

These were not TV documentaries but were made in to a film documentary.

Does anyone know if there are any more about like these two based on the Afghan and Iraq wars?

Thanks

I've seen 'Severe Clear', there's even less Combat footage than the Danish Armadillo docu and they come across very poorly, apart from the very end when the gungho main "character" looks back and say's what a waste it's all been.

Ross Kemp. Not docu films but still bloody good.

That new one on Discovery, Frontline Battle.....something.

Andy Mcnab had a series out not long ago.

Also ch5 had the royal navy series which was good.

Also a very good american docu series is "carrier".

May be worth checking out "In the Year of the Pig", it's a documentary all the way back from 1968 about Vietnam war if that theatre interests you.

May also be worth checking out "Bulletproof Salesman", not so much a war documentary but a documentary about an armoured car salesman who operated almost right after Iraqi army fell. There isn't much combat footage in this, but it does have some interesting footage of Iraq right after collapse of the government.
