Are there any postal strikes going on?

Ive just called a customer to see if they've got some paperwork, apparently they havent had any post in two days because of a postal strike? They are in Middlesex, but I cant find any news online.

Is this a ploy to buy herself some more time?

Yep, one here in Belfast, Its been on for 2 weeks now.

No Valentines Day post for us.

Apparently they might be going back to work tomorow....but then they've got a 2 week backlog to shift now. they just made it worse for themselves staying off this long really.

Stepdad went to a CWU meeting last week and there are proposed strikes around here due to the stupid contracts royal mail want to enforce. Everyone voted no, but they're going to bring them in anyway, so they're going on strike.

Post's fine round here, usually gets here before 10, can rarely think of a time when it's come late, christmas of course, but on a normal day? nope.
