Are there any really good TV OUT boxes?

Hey, I have a TV out box, can't remember who by, but it has a big "X" on the top, it cost me £60 about 3 years ago.

I have used it with my Wii into my 19" LCD widescreen, and the picture is not great, white and a little buzzy.

I see little reason why I cannot buy a box that does a perfect, crystal image, even for under £100. Obviously as a student with limited space in my room this would be excellent.

Any suggestions?

What is the point in the box?

Like monkeypsank said, surely you could just grab yourself a Wii VGA cable and plug it in via that?

Ahh.. Well a box would be more versatile, for instance I want to run in a PS2 sometimes.. But these cable would be pretty sweet, running in 480 would be coool!

So I probably will buy one of these, even if they are £25, but are there any good boxes out still?

Generally the picture quality through them is quite shoddy, so I wouldn't be expecting drastic improvements over what you've got now.

But like you said, I'm not convinced there are other options available for the PS2 other than this.

The idea of a wii VGA cable is definitely appealing, particularly as I can run it in 480p (I don't have an HDTV yet.) How much better does this look than 60Hz standard def? Looking forward to some more mario galaxy!

It is frustrating though, you would have thought the idea of running consoles into a pc monitor would be so fundemental to a lot of people that a wonderful box that did it crisply and cleanly would have been invented!
