Are there any worthwhile gaming laptops for about a grand?

As title. I'm beginning to get a bit jaded with all this hardware I've got and I'm taking a long hard look at my computing needs. I'm leaning more and more towards getting a laptop and jumping off this upgrading bandwagon for the sake of playing games, and I'm not even a hard core gamer. Crysis apart, I'm assuming that most highend lappies can play games at reasonable resolutions/framerates/eye candy, but I do understand theres gonna some compromises. All other computing needs would be covered with no probs.
Any opinions?:)

Thanks for the reply mate, never heard of them though:) I'm having a bit of a radical rethink here and I'm contemplating getting rid of me pc as it stands and downgrading. I've found myself, and I'll bet a good few other ppl here also, getting totally hacked off with the way pc hardware/gaming is going atm. It just seems that you spend bucketloads of dosh on hardware that promises so much and totally fails to deliver, or doesn't live up to your expectations of it. So it looks like I'll be flogging most of me stuff, putting together a reasonable gaming system together and using that for a while until the hardware becomes available that actually makes a difference, and games come out that aren't just rehashes of whats gone before. I suppose I shouldn't have been caught up in the hype meself, but at least I can say I've tried it and can learn from the experience.:)
