Are there any worthwhile VR video experiences? For £80 VR headsets.

There seem to be some nice cheap sub £80 all in one VR headsets. The cheap headsets don’t have the power to run full apps but could they be a good introduction to VR?

Are there any worthwhile films and videos to watch in VR? Just seen an offer for a V3 All In One VR Headset Allwinner H8VR which looks good for 1080p playback but not enough power for apps. Not got time to look into it some more at the moment. Was just wondering if it might make a good temp gadget while waiting for gen 2 full high end VR headsets.

I should have known someone would say that. As a family entertainment device is there enough content or any decent content just justify the price of a £70 VR unit? Anyone know of some good VR content that isn't just a short 4min clip. Any concerts type content yet?

The problem with 360/180 video is the video quality, for instance I watched a bbc 360 video of the Olympic beach volleyball and it was unwatchable quality was really bad with anything greater than say 10m away. This was with a htc vive. Native VR games are fine though so I say if you are also playing vr games on your phone as well then get one just dont expect videos to be of good quality. I did watch some 1080p standard videos on a 120" virtual screen and the quality was pretty good so not sure why they cant translate that quality into 360 vids.
