No not at all.

We get a Zalman for silence and temps.

Did anyone upgrade their 7900 GTX cooler?

no.

Thats why.

only reason to upgrade 8800 cooler is for water...thats it.

no because the 7900gtx ran a lot cooler. the 8800GTX/GTS runs a lot higher with the stock cooler than the 7900gtx did, plus if your OC these 8800's then your going to need better cooling.

There are hundreds of people here overclocking their 8800's on the stock cooler without issue.

650/2000 most of them.

The stock cooler does a good job.

I doubt there will be a zalman released that improves massively better than this.

i,ve got my GTS clocked @ GTX speeds and the temps go upto 80/85 when in game, thats all im saying i would like to see them temps come down abit
 
Zalmans don'y usually emit heat out of the case.This is paramount with the 8800.

Unless they come out with a new design.A big fan with a few heatpipes is not gonna cut it.
