Id agree with some of the above, going back 10+ years, heartaches and headaches a fair bit.
Win 98 would random bluescreen a fair bit, conflicts with new graphics cards and chipsets around the time, sound cards would often effect performance if you happen to have one X game didn't get on with. Plus with everything being manual installation, you could end up with an evening of pulling your hair out when the network lost itself for the 2nd or 3rd time that week
All good now though, just about the only grief you get these days are compatability problems with old games on the vis/7 systems.
Shame somebody doesn't sit down and sort that out (if it is that simple)
