Are there locking tabs on PCIe graphics cards?

I have to remove 2 PCIe graphics cards from my PC in order to remove and replace the defunct PSU (a cable is routed under the cards).

Are there any hidden locking tabs which have to be released before I can lift the cards out? I have a memory of breaking a tab off a card some years ago in pre-PCIe days.

Thanks folks.

The locking tab if you have one will be on the motherboard connector itself rather than on the card. As to whether you have one will depend on the motherboard, some use a simple slot, other use a basic locking mechanism.

the motherboard slot locks are usally colooured tabs that pivot down at the rear (like memory slot tabs)

or increasingly common are a flimsy type that should be pushed sideways and these tend to be the same colour as the slot.

both release the graphics card, if the cards are big the tabs are often hard to access, I often push them with a pencil when fingers just woll ned get in there
