Are these card ok for crossfire

Looking for a bit of peace of mind , after ordering a Sapphire 3850 512mb card and a 256mb card , will these be ok for crossfire...

only difference is the ram

Yes, they'd work. Crossfire is flexible like that. However, I don't think it'd be that much better than your current GTS.

thanks for the reply , hoping for slight performance increase , changing things about a bit ( new mobo , hd t.v as display )

They'll work fine, and will be faster than the GTS, but i think you would only get 256mb Ram as it would default to the lowest amount, and if so not worth it as your going to be memory limited, but im not sure on that.

You will be limited to 256MB of video memory, as each card needs a copy of the raw data.

Why didn't you buy two 512MB cards

Sell the 256mb card and use the money towards a second 512mb model.
