hi all very close friends of mine gave me some pc bits as im a porpa i need to get the cpu,psu etc etc but ive had a brain wave heres me Q

i have been given

asus striker extreme M/B
ati x1950 pro 256mb pce-e
4 gig RAM

now me Q is this will this motherboard do crossfire if i can get another ati x1950 pro or is it just nvidai sli? allso can i use any other brand of x1950 pro or does it need to be exactly the same as the one i have.

ps i allso need the bridge to connect the two graphic cards together do ocuk sell these cheers all.

Going for a X1950pro crossfire setup isn't worth it in 2009 anyway. As a single card though it's a good improvement over the 7600GT and it's aged better in newer games.

ive just been given a 8600gt model number p402 ive allso got an x1950 pro both these cards are pci-e but what i want to know which is best ive done a bit of looking but for some reason cant come to any solid answer?.

The x1950pro is better. The 8600GT was a bit of a dissapointment at the time.
