Are these components compatible?

Hi,

Just wondering if the following will all work togther, won't be overclocking either.

Gigabyte DS4
Conroe E6400
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

This will be upgrading from a 3200 athlon 64 venice which has an Akasa AK-862 CPU cooler on it. Will this cooler fit to the gigabyte board?

the ram , cpu , mobo are compatible...

however the Akasa AK-862 CPU cooler will not fit the conroe chip...

also i think the RAM to get for that chip is 6400 instead of 5300 but you might wanna double check...

also the item you listed below the conroe e6400 has not displayed correctly so you may wanna edit ** post so we can see that item....

get a scythe ninja that will fit and incase you do decide to overclock then it you know you have a kick ass cooler

if you have difficulty getting hold of a scythe ninja, like i did, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro will turn out to be very very nice also. Altho you state you aren't overclocking so you could just get a retail cpu that comes with a HSF in the box.
