I dont have a clue what any of them mean, apart from the downstream and upstream rates lol

There very good stats . Im assumming your on MAX, due to you having a very low line attentuation theres no reason that you cant connect at 8128kbps (on fast path). Give your ISP a ring and see whether they will put you on it.

Also if you were to get ADSL2+ you should expect to recieve an extremely fast line as I get 15Mb with a downstream attentuation of 32 so you shoudl expect at least 20 t least.

nice one mate,

Im getting be on the 13th.

BT Are crap! :D

they wont do anything with my line. They seem to think im at my old address still which is miles from the exchange

Im with Be at the moment. I get nothing but quality service from them. I jumped from BT as soon as Be were in my area which was roughly a year ago.

Be sure to post your new stats when you get activated on Be

Sorry to hijack and rather than start a new thread I was activated on ADSL24 today even though it wasn't due until next Tuesday? Anyway I have been on NTL cable for 6 years so I have no idea what the figures below mean

Can someone help please?

Uptime: 0 days, 0:17:49
Modulation: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 8,128
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 3.52 / 27.90
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.5 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 21.0 / 35.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 25.0 / 7.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / ALCB

Only plugged the router in 17mins ago

They are pretty good stats, you are syncing at the full 8MB. It could take 10 days or so until your speeds actually reach that level though.

Ah I was going to say that as my actual download speeds and speed tests seem to be around 2meg which made me panic some what

But this is good news I think :D

Thanks for the reply ;)

Yeah your IP profile will probably be stuck at 2MB, but it will raise eventually, if not just contact James at ADSL24 and he will sort it for you.
Try the BT speed test and see what your IP profile is set to:

You know James?

Just been talking with him on their forum :D

I'm very pleased with the whole package ADSL24 offer.....

I am possibly about to migrate from BT to ADSL24 and have been in contact with him over the emails. He seems like a really good bloke and gets things done.

well an update for you guys,

activated on wed, just gone and sync'd up at 21mbps

Loving it!! :D

Be F.T.W \0/

Your stats must have gotten quite a bit worse as I've got a 23.5dB attenuation and am syncing at 22.5mb down.

Make sure you raise a "Connection" ticket and asked to be switched to fastpath. Should increase your down sync by about 5mb (did for me, 17mb on interleave).

this is what i have got on the thomson modem,

My netgear dg834n has died on me over night :(

only 5 days old as well!!

they look ok?

And would this fast path improve it more?

well i have raised a ticket asking for fast path to be enabled, may be able to squeeze a bit more out of my line yet lol.

Fec errors i have read up on, and their to be expected and nothing to worry about. :D

I strongly suggest you following the guide in the link which I will post below. I removed some un-used wires from my mastersocket and I now sync at the full 8128kbps (on an 8MB MaxDSL), and my SNR has jumped from around 5db to 10db, and it is much more stable.

http://www.dslzoneuk.net/socket.php

Switching to fast path should also lower you're pings.

hey up,

right my modem is pluged into the main socket into the flat, only the one.

Also its one with a filter type face plate,

BE have now done something with my line, stating a more stable profile and that fastpath wouldnt be suitable. and now my line is syncing at 18mbps :( wish i hadnt started this now lol, was at 20/21 before my quest for speed got greedy.

current stats are now

I LOVE BE!!

Their reponse times and such is excellent.

They did as i asked, put my profile back up, and enabled fastpath.

Now getting
