Hi,

Got a laptop which needs a new battery and I can't get hold of the exact model number without shipping in from China which will take weeks and I don't want to wait that long.

I've found a near identical battery on ebay which has the same ratings, so should be fine to use?

The laptop is a Samsung Galaxy Book, and the battery model number is AA-PBSN4AF. The one I have found which looks similar is also for the same line of laptops but the model number is AA-PBSN4AT. So just the end letters different.

Here are pictures of both... is it ok to buy the AT version? TIA.

It's knowing what the part numbers mean.

Example on vag group cars, the last letter denotes the revision, for example 123456a and 123456b the b would be the revised part, this could be down to a manufacturer change or a modification to the design....

Unfortunately this is not a world wide standard practice so unless you know you don't know.

Looking at what your saying I would hazard a guess that Samsung seems to have adopted a similar strategy, I personally would just give it a go. But I cannot tell you to do so.

The specs and wiring all seem to match up, I would double check that the physical dimensions also match but yes it appears to be compatible based purely on the photo.
