I've just installed an E6600 that I got from the MM yesterday, so I fired up orthos, coretemp, and tat just give me an idea of temps and stability.
Now my old Q6600 @3.2ghz, 1.4 vcore would idle at about 45c-47c and load to around 60c-65c. The new E6600 idles at about 35c-37c and loads at 48c-50c with the identical cpu speed and vcore. Its totally stable (so far) after about half an hour, but its gonna be worked for at least eight hours.
My query is, are these temps I'm getting accurate and I've got a good low voltage cpu (its a "B2" btw). or I'm reading it wrong?
Cheers for any opinions.

I run my E6600 at 3.4ghz and thats on 1.375v. Mines a B2 as well. I have to run mine at 425x8 as my board doesnt like the FSB on a 9x multi.

EDIT: Mine runs at 55Degrees full load on a tuniq.

Interesting, you've got the same mobo as me and also using 4gb 6400 memory. I'll let everything "settle" down for a day or two and see how far this prozzie will go, its certainly the coolest C2D I've owned so far, so it might let me go higher with it.
I was just surprised to see an overall 10c drop in idle and load temps and I certainly wasn't expecting it, very nice I reckon.:)
