Received 22 emails, all with the same content from 12:44 to 1:07 last night.

They all claim my account has been locked and I need to change my password.

I have just logged into my battle.net account on the battle.net website and everything looks normal, all my game statuses are active (d3, d2, sc2).

So everything looks fine with my account from what I can see, are these emails scam emails?

I have been having problems with my email address, forwarding spam emails to different email addresses. So wondering if theres a connection there.

Thanks

Easiest way i've found to tell; Blizzard emails will always be addressed to your name. Fake ones will be "Dear Customer".

Checking via battle.net is a good way too, but always go to the site manually, never from a link in an email.

Hover over the links in the email and see what the actual URL is in the status bar, some scam site phishing for your password.

Never follow links from emails :-)

I got one (in my junk mail folder) saying my Diablo III account was locked.

I don't have that game or an account. That was a scam.

Also it stated "greetings" not very professional.

theres a url for a battle.net security page, but its http shouldnt it be https?

i see how they do it now.

yeah i cant find the matching url when browsing the battle.net website. damn.

ok i'll dismiss this, thanks guys.

most of the ones I get have battle.net/something as the link name, but hovered over says something like battle.net.somethingelse.somethingweird/accountsomething
Its pretty easy to tell. The best you can do is what you did, DONT follow any link in the email, just go to battle.net manually and log in and check. Simple.

Its Fake. plus normally buzzard said log into your account not click on a link.

Hope this will help you. Any Question. Free feel to message me.
