Hi,
I am running a Q6600 go,
i am watercooling only the cpu, with a single 120mm radiator,
temps start about 30, rise slowly to about 40, load at 50 and will only go back down to about 46. Is this normal

BTW this mite be irrelevent but i am running the radiator fan off JUST molex, no fan speed control.
Tim

OP my temps are very similar to yours, I too start off with low idle temps and at the time of writing this they are at 34,33,32,32

Mine do steadily rise to about 40 and after a couple of hours gameplay they steady out at about 49-50 ish

See my post http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=11570338#post11570338

Out of curiosity what WC CPU heatsink are you using I have the D-tek fusion and using MX-2.

To be honest the paste hasnt really had chance to settle in yet so I will keep you posted

btw I am at 3.2GHz with 1.30v (8x400)

I only installed my w/c kit, last weekend, so neither is my thermal compound, but i am using the cpu block in the Alphacool retail starter set - 240v. I am using a different pump/res to the one in that set tho. I am using single radiator.

How much of a difference would it make to the temps if I added a 3870 x2 to the loop
i would not advise you to add a 3870x2 to your setup on a 1x rad, im using a 2x rad to cool my q6600 and my gtx and i could do with a 3xrad
you would need a extra rad or even have a 3xrad to get decent temps for both your cpu and gpu if you decide to add a 3870x2 to your setup
