Are they trying too hard with parking?

Perhaps it's a bit of a faff, but there's the added security from theft/vandalism and it does look quite fancy. And you don't have to worry about trying to find a space as it does it for you! I bet it's costly though...

That looks pretty impressive. It'd be a major problem if the whole system crashed, and no one could get their car out though.

My old flat in Munich had a double decker parking space under the building, very common over there. I really wish we had similar levels of parking over here, they seem to not allow it to try and reduce traffic but it doesn't really reduce anything, it just makes life very difficult for those who have to drive somewhere.

This setup also allows much more efficient parking as there's no need for space to open doors etc.

No more door dents :D

My mates old flat on the Isle of Dogs had double decker parking.

One time, one of the other tenants stupidly didn't reverse far back enough so we couldn't lower the lift to get his car out.

I think it's a brilliant solution. It's not an incovenience to the driver. They simply position it and go on there way. It also elimnates bad parking and people dinging your doors.

What alternative would you suggest though? I don't think it's over the top at all, there are many many similar devices on a smaller scale.

I meant compared to what we see elsewhere here, but yeah does the job where space is lacking.

Absolutely genius.

No door dents.
No vandalism.
No thieving ****s.
More cars in less space.
etc...

Only disadvantage imo is costs, all multi stories should have a similar system so stupid mothers don't ram their door in to your car and jealous chavs don't vandalize your car or thieving ****s don't nick it.

If I had the choice of a normal parking and this, at the same costs, it'd always be this over the normal parking.
