Behind you... Naked!
Putting it as simply as I can.

I just tried to get my neighbor onto the internet VIA a router.

Settings are correct IFAIK

It just would not go!

Nor would the MODEM? - That said incorrect user or password, but they are right

I went and used my own router, gave it their username and password and the light was RED ( ERROR )

Brought my router back and it was RED again until I used my own info ( Different server in case your wondering ) and when I put my own info on, it went green and I connected instantly.

Is this the Server being down?

They are activated with Tiscali as they have been using it for some months now.

A couple of days ago, they got a Router, and failed to get it connected, and indeed have failed since and thats when they asked me.

I failed also using both the Router and even the Modem?

Their log-in details are correct, I know this as I have checked them myself over and over again.

It just keeps coming back saying they are incorrect?

I detect a hint of sarcasm there!

And quite rightly too!

However...

Trust me.... The log-in details ARE correct. We have the letter from Tiscali showing what they are, we have poured over them for hours... They have been for days obviously.

My only suggestion to them is to phone Tiscali up and ask them!

What else can they do?

Cheers lads

Try bt_test@startup_domain or the BT Speedtest login (see FAQ) and make sure it authenticates, though if it worked before there's no good reason why it should suddenly break (assuming they've been paying their bills, not run over any limits, whatever).
