Are tooless adapters restricted/limited to a specific case?

got myself a atx gaming no brand case with toolless drive bays which house my 3 Hdd's and optical drive, but the whole front are 5.25 top to bottom, so the 3.5 drives have their own adapter with the tool less locks.

Are there any universal locks you can buy or are you restricted to what comes with the case?

I think it's going to be pretty much a certainty that the mechanics of the drive bays are manufacturer (or even case) specific.

What is it exactly you are trying to achieve, and do you have a picture of your case's drive bays for reference?

I'm genuinely staggered that an entire case that you can buy today is 5.25" bays, especially considering I've not used a 5.25" bay in over 5 years. :confused;

It sounds like you want 5.25" to 3.5" drive adapters.

As the 5.25" mounting holes are standardized, so you can use them with any case.
