Just before Ubisoft were due to file their yearly results, they pulled the results and asked for a pause on their stock trading

I remember reading about them possibly being bought and taken private or split up for all their IP earlier in the year, can't remember which company was the rumoured buyer though.

Wouldn't surprise me though if it is the worse and they are bankrupt, I'm struggling to think of a game of theirs that they can be making good money on monthly to keep the lights on.

In fairness Anno has consistently been excellent but it can’t be a huge money spinner.

Anno 117 should do well and they have The Division 3 in development, but ultimately Ubisoft is a company which is absolutely RIPE to be bought by someone bigger, no doubt EA or Activision/Blizzard

Ubi seem to be in trouble because their management tells gamers what they want instead of listening to them, then they wonder why their games aren't selling.

Not sure they can limp along with Anno and Rainbow 6, I certainly wanted more from the Division platform, could have been huge.

Writing has been on the wall for a long time. I expect the parts of Ubisoft that aren't in the 'Crown Jewels' that were spun off into Tencent will be circling the drain.

A lot of really good people in Ubisoft, but huge swathes of the leadership (particularly editorial) are useless and in way out of their depth.
