Are You A Clinger Or A Slinger??

I would be a slinger.

In 2 years I have had:
2005 Bandit 650 first bike.
2000 ZRX1200 love these but too new a rider and not enough confidence. (scared me)
2001 CBR600F first sports bike, cracking bike but kind of died, was running 3 pots when i sold it.
and now on a 2013 GSR750. Went back to naked but got this for the mass amounts of low end power.

The GSR750 may go at the end of the year as the missus wants to go 2 up and I will be relocating within the year so probably wont need a car and bike.

Liking the VFR1200f (really like the idea of the DCT version) or if budget is tight then probably a CB1300S. Something comfy and with lots of torque!:D

Zx6r g1 owned since 98
Zx10r c1h owned since 09

Various 125's before and inbetween

Idk what it is but I get most enjoyment from riding my 600,a definate clinger

Clinger at the moment.

Had my CBF 125 for a year I think, then sold it when I got my full licence and got my Hornet.

The Hornet has a story (an extremely sad one unfortunately) behind it which has added a massive amount of sentimental value. If I had bought it off some random shop/guy 2nd hand I wouldn't think twice about upgrading or trying another bike.

I will never sell this Hornet. Either I keep it insured/road worthy when I get another bike, or I SORN and store it. This one's staying in the family.

Clinger, for the most part - kept both my Guzzis at least 6 years (still can't bring myself to part with the SP3). I sold my Beemer after 18 months or so - great bike for commuting but I got very bored of it very quickly.

Last few years have been...

K7 GSXR600
2010 Street Triple R
2008 ZX10R
2012 675R
2012 S1000RR

Riding since 2009.

Owned:
Honda CBF125 (2mo)
Kawasaki ER-6f (1yr)
Suzuki GSX-R750 (4mo)
Triumph Speed Triple (still own)
Suzuki DRZ400SM (4mo)
Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade (4mo, still own, selling this year)

Also test ridden a fair few bikes over the last couple of years. So far nothing has beaten the Speedy, so I'll be sticking with that for the time being :)

Used to change every 3 - 6 months, but have had the GS for 2 years now, and no plans to sell at the moment....although the new GS ADV is tempting!

Before that had (in most recent order)

GSXR1000 K9
Honda Blackbird FI
Triumph Speed Triple
Kawasaki ZX12R
Kawasaki Versys
GSXR750 K5
Honda Blackbird Carb
Triumph Tiger 955
Kawasaki ZX9R

Clinger... TBH, only been riding two years... BUT my CBR600 is as fast as I need, can't ever take it within 50% of what it could do, so I don't need a quicker bike. It looks epic, feels great and cost me £1,600... couldn't bear to sell ERIC!!!

CBR1000RR - Race bike still own it 1 year on
SV650 - Sold after 4 months (Yawn)

Had my R6 since 2005

I keep thinking about trading it for something different, but can't really decide on what

This is it... both my mates who've passed at same time... switched over to different bikes... for me, there's nothing out there that I'd rather have... your R6... not many bikes are actually going to give you any more buzz... looks wise that's just "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"... I'd only change for something that gives me mroe fun and I don't believe I could get that... so very similar.

Clinger.
I have an FJ1200. There's no reason for me to get any other kind of bike ever at all... well, not until rocket-powered SpaceBikes are available, or until I can afford one of them jet turbine jobbies... but I'd still keep the FJ anyway!

I start getting a bit bored after 1 year, start looking at other stuff after 2 years and actually buy something else between 2-3 years. It's not that the bikes are bad it's just they become familiar.

If you have one of the better bikes in a category then jump bike type, so go from a supersport to a litre v-twin :D keeps things interesting.

I change my bikes every 12 months other then my cbr 600 (89) given to me by my old man, that will never go

little list

RG 125 F
Rs 125
DT 175
Rg 125

750
400
R6
RSV 1000
CBR 600 RR4
