that actually classes as self-promotion, and a new thread every week classes as annoying.
 
thats about the 3rd of 4th time I've seen you link that site in various threads..


Oh and I was interested to see your portfolio, you only have one, and I can't find the link to investigate what the site is like, so all I'm left with is a picture of the Swirls Photo site

Not being harsh, because I'm useless at websites, but I wouldn't hire you, purely on your portfolio, I realise everyone has to start somewhere but at least link to the work you have done....

You offer no hint of what you will provide, can achieve, for example, no ecommere, no scripting of any kind, just HTML and CSS, say I wanted an online shop, or a database, or a PHP calender, I don't know if you can do these things, point is, no-one else know's either because you haven't said.

I'd be suprised if anyone would want a static HTML site these days, if thats all you can provide they'd be better off learning it themselves....

Didn't mean the above post to be harsh, but I'm just trying to be realistic

He's a web designer/developer who had to get a friend to help him with the site because he's just learning xhtml/css (His site doesn't even validate). He's also ripped most of his content from other websites.
Finally, he posts thread after thread just as an excuse to advertise it. I'm surprised it's being allowed tbh.
 
And it sill has the rogue ">" in the bottom left!

Btw, some top suggestions in the above posts :) I will be incorporating them.

I'm not being harsh mate, but if you can't create a convincing identity for yourself, why would anyone hire you? Don't jump in at the deep end too soon. Baby steps.

Hell, I'm doing a Masters in Design and working at a web design agency, and I wouldn't even call my work pro. There are a lot of very, very talented people out there.

I know it's mostly Flash, but take a look at the FWA for some really good stuff....

Not a bad looking site.

I would advise you to put a phone number on there. I would never use a company who I couldn't contact instantly, or at least the option/feeling of being able to contact instantly.

You can pick up a Skypein number cheap enough. Adds a little more.

I'll also add he's stolen content from http://www.edg3.co.uk/services/ too.

Last timke I checked his pages didn't even validate to xhtml trans, even though he says he offers "XHTML and CSS Webdesign".

Surely selfless promotion (the whole point of this thread for the OP) can't be allowed?????
 
There is also a redundant scrollbar on the contact page, no need for it to be there at all, plus the form doesn't even do any validation.

Told him that on msn ages ago. He obv aint bothered, yet still pimps himself as offering all these pro services :rolleyes:
