Did a quick search and couldn't find a thread specific to this. Just wanted to find out are you guys drinking tap water or buying from shops?

Hmm thanks all for a very balanced view on this issue. I'm still torn. We went on a visit to Scotland a few days ago and my children, who have been drinking bottled water from Costco, said the tap water was horrible!. I'm an old timer myself, so I can drink pretty much anything, but still unsure whether to tap water or not for the kids!. On the other hand, I'm confident that bottled water must come with some level of quality control, and it can never be anything like Peckham springs. But then again, I just don't want to flush money down the toilet. I'm thinking of water filters, anyone gone down this route?

Filtered tap water via one of these;

Thanks. Is this easy to install? Can I do it myself or it requires a professional?

I would class it as easy to install, yes :)

Change the filters every 6 months and they are about £15 or so each I think.

Been using these for many, many years after weighing up how much lolmoney a brita filter would cost me.

Highly recommend, keeps kettles cleaner too.
Thanks very much. I'll have a look at this.

Lost hope, when watching the video and have to drill the sink! My wife will definitely kill me if she catches me doing this . Anyway of installing without drilling?

True, and I do when going to gym/sports, however at home I just find myself drinking less water when it's this way. Purely in my head, but at the end of the day I justify it being OK as, it's better than fizzy alternatives that I'd have head instead, and I drink more water this way than if it was tap water.

I thought you were going to point out about the plastics in the water from the lid that was reported some what recently.

How do those not get dirty/taste tinny?

Eventually you have to wash them, and then same issue I mentioned.

I buy morrisons cheap stuff and get to use someone's staff discount so it's as low as I can ask. I don't actually like Evian that much
Yes the prices for bottled water definetly going up!
