For those that have upgraded to Win 10 has it been worth it.- I am a XP- Vista- Win 7 man and did try W10 on backup PC but reverted back to 7 after a few days.

However yesterday I picked up my first Laptop loaded with W8 and spent last night pulling my hair out. - I also got notification to update to W10 - I don't think I got same screen twice and took 15 min to find shutdown button.

Logically I should do it as don't want to learn W10 after I bumbled my way through W8

Should I or shouldn't I

i used W10 on launch but then went back to W7 as i got fed up with my start button randomly deciding not to work when clicking on. had this issue on my main PC and a netbook i had so this got rolled back to 8.1.

i may upgrade again at some point as the netbook and my main PC are both tagged to now work with W10 so once they fix the issues i may give it another try.

It seems fine for me.I do have Classic Shell installed though, so I can pretend it's still W7! :p

Working pretty well but I do wish it would stop telling me about having more than 3 items in the system tray and how this might slow performance. Has anyone actually got less than 3?

I wasn't particularly happy with it after upgrading from 8.1, had a few niggles and weirdness.

It's perfect since doing a clean install though.

Happy user here too. Installed on both main desktop & personal/work laptop. Not had any issues so far with my systems but have had to troubleshoot & fix issues for others.

Yeah, that's nagging. Just turned it off: Control Panel\System and Security\Security and Maintenance under Maintenance Disable applications to help improve performance

Thanks for feed back - it's not issues I am worried about - it's about being easier to work with than W8 - I will use Classic Shell when I install 10 which I have decided to do -

Just can't abide W8 - If I can't work it out there is no chance my mrs's will :)

Had some nasty problems with it.

My VMs wouldn't connect to the network in bridged mode, which bust their IP addresses. That took some time to fix.

Outlook is now dead slow. That's if I can get it to open. Twice I've had to delete and recreate profiles and mail accounts.

I can't play Loadout anymore... grrr.

On my laptop, which I use as a HTPC, I had to have a good fiddle deleting and installing audio drivers so it would use the telly HDMI for audio playback. This was after it working fine for a day or so when first used.

Also sometimes the desktop apps don't come up fast enough in the list when you search for stuff. A few times I've typed "control panel" and ended up searching the web. I would have thought an i7 with 32GB ram and an OS running on an SSD would eat this, but apparently not.

Had issues with W10 so went back to 8.1 for now. Will give it another try once all the driver issues are sorted out, so maybe next year.

Happy with W10 except my PC won't go to sleep. I have been through the settings and tried a few tips from the net but it still won't sleep??

Yeah its faster, be sure to run one of the privacy utilities as the installation options don't do what they say and be sure to use a local account.

Yes - couldn't go back. The window-spanning to quarters (rather than just halves) is a life-saver, as I'm running a single 4k display at work. Its great being able to run 4x ~1080 res windows on one screen quickly. Real virtual desktops is a boon, too.

All I would say is that even after a clean install at home of Win10, I stil had to run some powershell commands to get the Start menu search stuff running properly.

Oh... and the "Settings" option in the Start Menu has no way of getting to the control panel - frustrating as hell.

Other than that, pleased! :)
