Looking forward to Olympics?

I'm trying my hardest to feel interested but I've never really had any liking for those type of sports, and the way it's being run with the vile commercialism and pathetic torch running have made it distasteful so far. I'm not having a very easy job of liking it.

Nope, i do not care that someone can run 100m, jump over a pole, swim, etc.

Why surrender yourself to some crappy diet, living on vitamins and supplements, just so you can leisurely do something for a pointless medal?

At least back in ancient Greece, the people competing were actually warriors, most of the time, they actually did something productive (I know, killing is not entirely productive, but defending is ;))

This whole things is just a money generation game, that probably wont generate anything, considering all the people going to the Olympics wont be too interested in the local shops.

Get some real people in there for once.

I couldn't give a stuff, i'm going to do my damndest to avoid all coverage, including results on the news, for the duration of the games.

I don't mind olympics, never watched it that seriously, don't care that much. But when i used to watch tv, if it was on, id probably watch some olympics over most things. But now that i have to travel past the venue in my daily commute, it takes it too a whole new level. So i have the first week off to avoid the travel and second week hopefully not too bad.

Don't care for it at all, see it more of a burden on my life as I'm using up 5 days worth of holiday to miss the main bulk of it. I have to commute through stratford and to london bridge you see. The former being **** for obvious reasons and the latter because they say it's going to be an 'exit only station'.
