Are you obsessed with FPS?

I'm need fraps running, I'm FPS OCD, but I've changed it to 'refresh every second', I don't keep my eye on it too much then, just a glance 'that looks right' and back to game.

i used to be abssesed with fraps. when i first got my new rig i all i wanted was to see how high i could get my fps.. but then i realised that it doesnt really matter aslong as its smooth gameplay and u enjoy the game :)

I dont understand why anyone would think differently. Honestly didn't realise people were so pathetic as to care about the FPS their computer gets on a certain game, beyond the point where it is enjoyable to play.

not really, if the game is noticeably having fps lag then yeah settings changed but tbh i never notice unless it's affecting my enjoyment.

Ive got Fraps running all the time, every now and then i look up to check, just a habit thats hard to break i guess, mainly use it for screenshots and the odd video now and then.

When I used to overclock back in the day yes *plays hovis music*. Now I couldn't care less so long as the game runs smooth and virtually all of the time, most titles do. I only use Fraps for getting screenshots.

I have both Fraps and Afterburner installed, I do like to keep an eye on my FPS but I use Fraps for screenshotting and taking videos more than anything these days.

Afterburner is my main source of in game information.

Nope, don't care at all.

I go by the gameplay experience. If I can play and am enjoying playing the game at 15fps, I'm fine with that. I don't need to know.

if a game is playing up and not running well i will, so i can tweet it. Once its ok i wont use it again.

I used to be obsessed with FPS and component temperatures, even if I hadn't overclocked anything. On Counter Strike I'd have net_graph on all the time and would be constantly looking at it to see what my FPS was, I'd also be continuously looking at temperatures while I was in a game.

Now I just don't care, if the game runs and it's smooth I couldn't care less. If it doesn't run smooth I just don't play the game, I'm not going to waste my time dwelling on it. It's Winter now anyway and it's always freezing in my house so I don't need to check component temperatures either :p

lmao identical to me during my CS/TFC days. I would have MBM running in the background displaying my fan speeds and cpu temps in the top right corner of the screen. How sad :o

Oh and I had r_netgraph 1 running on HL engine games too :p
