Are you put off by interior colour?

Looking for a replacement vehicle and I have found one that ticks all my boxes in terms of condition, spec etc - I really can't fault it in any way regarding this.

However!

It's navy blue with a brown leather interior  Now I know colour is a very subjective thing but for me, it's making my eyes bleed.

Question is, do I put up with it and try and just get used to it because everything else is well and truly box ticked.

Depends on a few things. Brown or cognac as it’s sometimes known can be a great option and one that sparks interest as most people just choose black, however it depends on the exterior colour. Got a link to the car? Navy and brown is a bit unusual but not a deal breaker for me.

And do you think you can ever accept or even grow to like it? If not then you’re in trouble and will likely regret it and look to move it on sooner.

It is all rather brown inside, I don’t think it looks too bad but if you’re not that into it then wait till you find what you really want as you will have to begrudgingly live with it.

Yes I have been.

Was looking online for a new used car. Found one that seem perfect from the ad, before I looked at the photos. It was the right colour, right engine specs etc, looked immaculate.

Until I saw the interior. Bright red leather (recaros), door cards, the works. Worst still it was factory fitted. It looked like a knocking shop waiting room.

It's possible I could get used to it, I guess I need to see it in person really but it's a fair trek from me

It's down to personal taste but for me, I threw up a little when I saw the interior, it's goppingly awful

I wouldn't necessarily choose brown, but I don't mind that. Having white/red/brown leather interior beats a dull black or grey one in my book.

The bigger deal breaker for me would be the dark blue colour :)

I recently bought a used car but had rejected a few that popped up that had red leather seating. Almost all other colours seemed OK but the red leather was just too strong for my taste.

The Interior is where you spend most of your time, if it makes your eyes bleed then you have to give this one a miss… you will only regret it despite how perfect the car is in other aspects.

It would bother me massively, I could not live with an odd coloured interior!

There's brown interiors and there's BROWN interiors.

Some can be kinda inoffensive in a beige sort of way but that one is especially terrible, kinda cross between curry sauce and baby poo? Just terrible.

I think if i was buying a banger for a couple of grand at most i could make my peace with a bad interior colour choice but no way on earth would i be spending 30k on something when it wasn't perfect for me.

If it's real leather unlike the pleather I had in my bmw and, now audi - I could get over a poor colour for the enjoyable texture/comfort of the real thing(like the sofa)
besides - at night time you aren't looking at colour too.

e: think I'd need to see texture of headliner in person pic 57 makes it look like velor

Great colour scheme. The car...eeeennhhhh, if that's what you want then cool. Especially if the spec has everything that you need.

Its a no for me, black or red seats for me any other combo like beige, cream, brown etc im out. Its a lot of money to not be sure about the interior especially as its where you spend all your time. Its not like a set of wheels that can be changed.

It seems more the norm with prestige brands to have odd color interiors

It is something which would constantly bother me if it wasn't to my tastes and I'd never be happy.

I seem to have got lucky with my purchases in terms of interior and had a nice spec come along at the right time.

Ooof I just clicked on the pictures - the odd bit of trim in that colour can look good if done properly but slapped on everything like that just isn't a good look.
