On a related topic, what's everyone's thoughts on the ideal age difference between men and women. That is if there is such a thing.

There is no ideal age difference IMO. I went out with girl in the past who was 9 years younger ( I was 33 at the time, she was 24 ).

My current partner is 9 years older than me ( I was 39 when we met, she was 48). We have been together for 9 years now, which is my longest ever relationship and we really get on well together and I can't see us ever seperating.

Of my relationships that have lasted for more than a few weeks:

Her: 17, Me: 21, together: 4 years.
Her: 24, Me: 33, together: 18 months.
Her: 48, Me: 39, together: 9 years (my current partner).

So, I don't think age difference makes any difference, it's all about how well you get on together and the things you have in common.
