Are your 3d program settings in Vista holding

Using latest official vista nvidia drivers, and when I go into the nv control panel, go to manage 3d settings, and change an individual program setting the control panel will not hold it. So for something like Quake4 where I want to enable tripple buffering, the only way I have of making it stick is to enable it as a global setting. Same problem with AA, if I want to enhance my AA to 16xQAA, I have to do it globally. If I set up 16xQAA in the HL2 program setting, it just reverts back to default after I reopen the control panel. I am of course making sure to click apply at the bottom of the screen.

Was wondering if anyone has this issue. Did not have this problem in XP using last set of official XP drivers.

Yes, I have the same issue too. Individual application settings do not hold in my Vista x64. So I just set the global settings. Sometimes I have to change them if for example I switch from FEAR to WoW, but it's not too bothersome.

I can see it being a pain if you play lots of old and new games though.

Thanks for the info. It's a bit of a pain alright as I have lots of old and new games I want to play. But I will live with it.
