Area 51 graphics problems

System Spec: AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 160gb hard drive, 2gb ram, Nvidia 6600gt AGP, XP Home.

Installed Area 51 and installed the patch. Whilst playing the game particulary during firefights parts of the screen where the gun aim (the crosshair is it? +) is becomes very blocky. In fact when this first starts to happen If I move the aim via the mouse, everywhere the aim goes it wipes out the detail and becomes all smudged.

Does anyone know why/how this happens? and how to remedy this.

I wouldn't know a strange setting if it hit me in the face. How do you check for Vsync?

I have found and enabled VSync but not joy unfortunatley, still happening.

Its okay folks, problem solved. Apparently problems like this are common in the 6 series of the Nvidia cards and it was addressed in there latest Forceware drivers 84.21 I think so installed the drivers and Bob's your uncle or is he?
