Arg help! Is the ASUS EAH5870 a reference design??!

I'm pretty sure that the voltage tweak stuff is all firmware/software - you can flash other manufacturer's boards to have the same functionality. :)

Ahh sweet cheers guys. Thats a relief.

Picked up the card for £280 delivered - was it the right thing to do? I saw it was a Voltage edition and thought I would be able to push it hard on the overclock with the EK block so I bought that too.

I just sold my GTX 285. What kind of overclock should I expect on the ASUS EAH5870? And can I use MSI Afterburner or is the included ASUS one the best?

Plenty of people have got over 1GHz under water, I think there is often a wall around 1030MHz-1050MHz, where you need a lot more voltage for minimum gains.

I never flashed my 5870s, the performance was far more than I needed already. :D

Well I have a sapphire 5870 with the Asus bios on it, 1000 core/1250 mem @ 12.50v are my 24/7 stable clocks, for benchmarking I can hit 1030 so hopefully with yours being water cooled it will clock real good. I use afterburner, find it to be real stable and simple to use.

Sweet thanks for the info guys.

Does MSI Afterburner have the ability to bump up voltage? Or is that only available on the ASUS OC suite that comes with my EAH5870?

Did you notice a difference from the stock speeds of the 5870 to your beasty overclock Raven? I need to justify getting rid of my 285 somehow lol!
