Im really happy with my current set up, ryzen 5 7600 undervolted and oced running cooler and faster than stock, it never gets anywhere near thermal throttling, sapphire nitro+ 9070xt undervolted -75mv, vram oced to 2824 Mhz and power limit +10%, again, its running faster yet cooler than stock. Its a miracle of modern times, where you can get more of something for less of something!

As I mentioned in the title, using open rgb I get a notified how hot my gpu runs through colour change of my argb lighting on my gpu's light strip and my 3 case fans and 1 cpu cooler fan, i set it like this -
  • Purple: 69°C
  • Dark Blue: 72°C
  • Light Blue: 74°C
  • Green: 77°C
  • Yellow: 79°C
  • Orange: 81°C
  • Red: 83°C
  • White: 90°C
I also use the open source 'Fan Control' app for, you guessed it, fan speed control. the gpu fan's speeds are set to read the gpu memory temp as this is usually the hottest (beaten only occasionally by gpu hotspot temp(when doing ai flux text to image)), the cpu fan speed reads the cpu core temp and the 3 case fans are set slightly faster per degree than the cpu and gpu fans speeds and are reading a mixed graph of gpu vram and cpu core temps, the argb colours correspond to the gpu mem temps only.

I can play assetto corsa at 144fps in 4k with the argb lights in the red-orange range but i much prefer to limit the framerate a bit and enjoy playing with a nice cool and quiet system in the green-blue range at 100 fps and honestly i cant see a difference, I play ac evo at 100 fps at 4k in the yellow zone, elite dangerous at 100 fps in 4k in the green to yellow range, msfs 2020 at 72 fps in the yellow, dirt rally 2 does 144fps in the green at 1440p, ac rally- similar to ac evo's performance and il-2 sturmovik is similar in performance to elite dangerous.

Ai imaging with comfyui also works very well.

If you have argb/drgb and similar hardware but are not using 'open rgb' and 'fan control' I recommend it.
