Hi there. I have a shortfall of ARG headers on my Gigabyte motherboard.

I have 5 devices and only two headers. Two sets of Thermaltake Swafans, an EK GPU water block, EK distro plate and the Lian Li external case LEDs

I bought a Coolermaster ARGB controller, and it isn't really working for me. I think it works, I just don't understand how to use it. So my GPU is not illuminated, and the other three are running just plain white. I've messed with the Gigabyte RGB Fusion app, and also some 3rd party software.

Can anyone who has lots of ARGB give me some hints on how to connect things up so that I can actually control my lighting? I'm not averse to spending some money on another ARGB controller if that'll help

Thermaltake swafans should have a controller
Think they use proprietary connectors
Then to motherboard usb
You may have to use thermaltake ttrgb plus
To control those

Ek gpu waterblock, ek distro, lian li case
Those should all have standard 3 pin connector
So a simple rgb splitter would work for those
Don't really need a hub/controller

Gigabyte rgb fusion is absolute ####
As mentioned free version of signal rgb is light years
Better
I have 9 devices from multiple manufacturers
Signal rgb controls them all
It may even pick up the swafan controller
Though would still need the thermaltake software
To control their speed

And theres multiple coolermaster products
Without a model number
Won't know if its a controller or just a splitter

Only thing with splitter cables
They tend to come apart very easily
Would recommend something to keep them together
Hot glue gun, cable twists etc
Nothing more annoying than putting all the wiring
Out of sight only to find the argb connectors separated
While you were moving them

Spilitters should be fine unless you're using
A huge amount of leds
Especially if set to white constantly
Your motherboard manual should tell you
How many leds as a limit
Shouldn't be a problem with what you have if the
Swafans have their own controller though

I'm running 11 140mm phantek d30 daisy chained on the phantek rgb controller in my nv9 case with signalrgb.

I use Aquacomputer devices, most of which have an ARGB header, but also their Farbwerk kit which has multiple headers.
This gives you full integration into the (free) Aquasuite system monitoring software and each header can be either a separate channel with up to 90 LEDs or synced up with everything else.
Aquacomputer does use proprietary headers, but you can get adapters that will connect any standard 3-pin ARGB device.
