Can anyone recommend a stand alone ARGB controlled? My lads b450 motherboard only has 4pin analog RGB headers on it. I have just given him my old case that's full of ARGB 3 pin fans.

I purchased a little gadget called "COOL MOON" RGB controller that had a sata power and a 3 pin to come off of and it was perfect apart from it only lasted 5 minutes before it stopped working, so looking for something similar but just better quality.

Thanks

i've used this before. cheap, cheerful and does the job.
currently on pre-order though :/
that was very similar to the thing I had got for him that lasted 5 minutes. TBH it worked great for the very short time it work was just what I was looking for. Thanks for the link though

Had the same, an "uphere" one that came with three fans for about £25 - I'm still using the 8 port fan and a-rgb controller with my new Arctic P120 a-rgb fans - works perfectly still! (in fact im going to buy another so I can have them all!)

I had one of these Kolink Inspire Controllers @ £9 (here), works fine and has a lot of preset options, is now on the spare kid's pc, but for my main case currently have a Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller (about £40) as I wanted better control of the lighting! The Razor will need a USB header though

Awesome that will be just the job for him,

Just went to buy it do VIPforum members no longer get free delivery?

I use the alphacool ones, they do a 3 pin and a 4 pin version so will cater for both needs depending on which you need. It's a simple mini controller, with speed, mode and brightness adjustment, about the length and width of your pinky finger.

Aquacomputer do some great kit in their Farbwerk range. The Nano is about the size of a £2 coin!
It's not cheap, but it's very good and you can get adapters to run any standard 3-pin ARGB (male or female) kit, as well as their own RGBpx stuff.
