I haven't played much with RGB, but since most of my new build has it, I thought I'd give it a try. I have an Asus motherboard, Corsair memory, ARGB case, ARGB AIO, and a Gigabyte GPU, all with RGB.

The Asus software recognizes the motherboard, case, and AIO, but not the others. I've tried setting up sync between iCUE and Asus with the plugin for the memory, but it's not playing ball.

Any suggestions on a working combination of software or even third-party apps to get everything working nicely together?

I’ve used OpenRGB and SignalRGB, both have their pros and cons but as I have a mix of different brands in my pc, they pick them up no issue and can all be used together.

Signal is a more user friendly with a decent UI and has a lot of options and effects, but a good chunk are pay walled into an annual subscription. Doesn’t recognise/work with some brands and models either but does get updated quite often.

Open is a little less user friendly and potentially not as much choice in effects, but if you have time to get into playing around with it, can be just as good if not better as tends to find and work with more hardware and has a lot of control over what you can do with it.

The aforementioned Signal RGB is pretty good - I installed it on my wife's PC and it controls motherboard-connected ARGB as well as various Corsair bits connected through a commander pro. It's got some great free effects on it.

I've had less luck with it sadly, it won't work with my MSI motherboard ARGB headers for some reason but it's the first one I'd try on any system.

Signal rgb definitely my choice
Windows 11 actually has rgb control now
Though its still in its early stages
And has very few effects compared to Signal rgb
And the few it has are basic, like breathing etc
