Argentina’s New President Is An Anarcho-Capitalist

This is going to be interesting as he's made a few crazy promises with adopting the dollar for the national currency and bringing back the ability to buy and sell organs being my two favourite. Let's see what he delivers...

I came from the people, they need to adore me!
So Christian Dior me from my head to my toes.
I need to be dazzling, I want to be Rainbow High!!!!!
They must have excitement, and so must I!

I hope he can get to grips with Argentina's rampant corruption, like so many countries in South America, those people deserve better

Why would he?

He'll just take over the corruption for himself like everyone of his ilk.

I have zero knowledge about him, he said he wants to cut a load of public spending which Argentina probably cannot afford and was no doubt wasted through corruption anyway, good luck to him.

Oh Argentina .... so much potential with the natural resources the country has, but utterly wasted by the political class the people keep voting in as they fall for the promises of magic money trees and unicorns farting gold.

Adopting the dollar might help as it removes the usual currency devaluation option but there's plenty of other ways they can stuff it up. It'll be a grade A cluster thingy as usual :(

I'd love to be proved utterly wrong.

Falklands war part 2 is what my mind jumped to…especially when his popularity drops.
He actually seems pretty sensible when it comes to the Falklands. His policy is to try to claim it via diplomacy (he imagined a Hong Kong style thing) and actually listen to what the people there want

Blimey, still with the "bUt cOrByN!!1!"

But back to Argentina, yea the economy is in the crapper as usual, inflation running at 149% and 40% of the population below the poverty line. Its no wonder with a choice of 2, when one candidate is the current economic minister, they choose the other guy.

Not that I know anything about their political setup, but someone on LBC was saying he doesn't have large majorities in other houses, so he'll have to work with other parties to get stuff through, which might temper his more outlandish ideas :p

Hopefully he's not quite as bonkers as his populist persona has been lately, but he's definitely out there....he was told by his deceased dog, Conan, that it was God's mission for him to become president while having a telepathic conversation communing with it through a medium...
