ARGH bleeping bot servers!

Is anyone else as sick of this as I am? A quick search for servers at 6am yields nothing but bot filled servers. It's infuriating. I want to play TFC or CSS against real people... if no-one's on I'd rather there were no servers to wind me up. Steam needs a new feature to exclude bots from the server search feature.


Bots were the worst thing ever to hit halflife :(
 
I remember this driving my insane with CSS. You can't (Well certainly couldn't) specify in the filter you don't want bot servers to show up!

I feel your pain! I'm about to play insurgency where there thankfully isn't any bots :D
 
i hate to spoil your fun but there is a way to show you if there are bots on the server....

Right click on the column bar at the top of the server search page and there is a "bots" you can tick, this will show you if theres bots present or not. Hope it helps if you didnt know about it, admittedly its not a "do not show" but at least it gives you warning.
 
I did notice that but servers still appear with bots in them, even without that little B.

Third party bots will not show up on the filter, only the official Valve bots are circumvented by the filters... bit of a pain really but it still reduces the chance you will meet them online.
 
or you could play a more recent game with people playing?
Im sure if it was not for the bots keeping servers open that CS and CS Source would have died by now! The same way that HLDM went.
