GTX 280 + Vista Home Premium x64 + 2more Gb RAM
Powercolor 4870 PCS? (same price as 1Gb) + Vista Home Premium x64 + 2more Gb RAM
HIS 4870x2 + Vista Home Premium x64

either way i NEED Vista 64, XP Pro 32 is a bit dated now aint it?

oh yeah, my spec also

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
AMD 6000+ x2 ~3Ghz
2Gig GEiL Black Dragon RAM
Hiper 680W PSU (shudders from what reads on forum)

Moniter is a 22" Viewsonic VA2216w and i allways play at 1680x1050 (if games permit)
 
the £200 card the best for my res? argh making it hard now...i likes the GTX280's.......but my PSU will probs go BAZAM! and take me my maker!

If it helps I was in the exact same dilemma as you - except my PSU is a 750W job that should have handled the GTX 280 ok. I ended up getting the overclocked Powercolor 4870 and saved the 70 odd quid over the 280.
 
So are you jsut intending to play the PhysX maps and warmonger?

If so get a GTX280.
