Im going to be buying a new pc in the next week or so and have ummed and arred about all the components but ive finally decided on everything except for the graphics card now. Its the only piece that i just cant make my mind up on
I looking to get something thats going to last me at least 2 to 3 years playing the new games on full (getting lower at the end of 2nd year) settings, things like ES:V skyrim and crysis 2 when they come out.
I dont mind going Crossfire or SLi in a couple years time either, to give a boost to flagging performance. In my current build im going for a 750w psu so hopefully that will be enough. I also currently have a 22" monitor running 1650x1080 although in the next 6 months i want to get a new 24" monitor running either 1920x1200 (even though cheapish ones are hard to find, what is it with all this 1080p) or 1080. So it will need to cope with the extra load there. i will also be running two monitors, although not really for gaming
Currently i cant decide between (i know there loads of threads out there for these cards but still need help)
ati 6950 - which is the best for unlocking, keep seeing talk of newer ones that cant be unlocked dont want to get one of those
nvidia 560ti and in just over a year SLI it
nvidia 570 was going to go for the gainward phantom and OC it as the cooler is reviewed as being very good.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated its all that holding me back now
