I kind of went off pc's and stuck with consoles for a while due to simplicity and cost.

Always kept a gaming rig, but just spent more time on consoles.

Then not long ago, decided I'd upgrade just my GPU.

Then I wanted things to just look a bit better, so upgraded my TN monitor to and IPS Hazro.

Then found that a single 6950 really struggled at 2560x1440, so thought I'd go crossfire. But this entailed also getting a new mobo.

Found a 2nd hand 1156 crossfire capable matx board.

Then found that my top GPU was getting too hot and, as a result, very loud.

At some point here, broke the wire connecting to my power button on case, in a place which made it impossible to fix.

Thought I would take this opportunity to get a bigger case (one I got may be too big, but that my bad), which should improve air flow and hopefully cool top gpu more.

It improved air flow, but when cards right together, there is only so much can be done.

And so now thiking of getting a full ATX board.... but it would be a waste getting yet another 1156 skt, so am considering getting another CPU too and going 1155.

Taking all this into consideration, I am sorely tempted to just go back to my 1080p monitor, single GPU, and mATX case and then flogging all the other stuff cause this is just getting silly :(
