Right I'm really peeved got another puncture last night, thats 4 yes 4 in less than two weeks, I could almost think someone is out to get me but they have all been in different places with different implements

So far

2" paslode nail
3" screw
Something that looks like a watch spigot
Roofing tack

First one I was saved by a kind RAC man who repaired it for £20, then I bought levers and a repair kit and a spare tube and am able to strip and replace on the side of the road, I'm getting quite good now 20 min wheel off and repaired and back on.

Any ideas, I'm using Metzeler Toratechs which are standard BMW, are they too soft, I am riding in London so am in a lot of 'dirty' bits of the road filtering.

It's getting beyond a joke :(

Perhaps you need to look at your palcement in the road, if you were following in the tracks of other users you wouldn't be picking up all the nails etc. If you're riding in the margins where there's loads of crap then you need to expect to encounter hazards like this and also the probability that you will loose any traction if you need to brake suddenly.

Maybe I'm missing something, but are you saying you can take off a motorcylce tyre on the side of the road and repair it within 20mins? How on earth do you get the tire off without some kind of machinery?

Massive tyre levers and big guns :p

In my top box I have

2 x Tyre levers
1 x 1" spanner
Rubber mallet
Long nose pliers
Old towel to put wheel on
Punture repair kit
Mountain bike pump
Little spray bottle of soapy water
Spare inner tube just in case

The BMW has a tubed tyre so quite easy, just make sure you don't pinch the tube when putting back in :)
