Bought a couple of blue CCs, installed 'em, and it looks like there's a disco going on in my PC. Is there anything I can easily do to mute the light a bit? I was thinking of wrapping some paper round them but we don't want no fires

I don't leave the PC on over night anyway, so light isn't really a problem, it's just annoying when I'm sat at my desk. Just wanted a nice subtle glow, and instead I get the blackpool illuminations

i have mine on a zalman fanmate
using a molex to three pin - it goes into the FC and i control the light
i have two 4" white cathodes on the dimmest setting for some cool, subtle lighting

Out of interest which make are they?
I have used in the past and still have them in the box, some akasa 12" blue cold cathodes. Werent over bright, but trick is to hide the cathodes out of direct sight.
If that doesnt work, then maybe try finding some see through black tape, which may or may not dim the "blackpool illuminations"![]()
Not exactly blue which also annoyed me a bit!
