Really annoyed,

I have a lamp which isn't that powerful, I turned it to face the front of my case..

After a few minutes I smelt burning.. I now have a bubble on the front of my case

Soo furious with myself for being so stupid!

It could be much worse. If you felt the urge you could simply replace those bay covers (that's what melted, isn't it?).

Yeh it was,

I am glad that it wasn't any worse!

have a look for a couple of replacement bay covers, alternatively buy somthing to go in the bays i.e fan controler etc

Solution

Put lamp back.

Move and create more bubbles.

Paint brown and market as an aero.

ask akasa to send you replacement bay covers, explain the situation, say your upset at how bad it is and if your lucky they may send it for free, at worst i can only imagine a couple £ +postage

These are damn good and are great for hdd cooling if your case does not come with it as standard.

Can't recommend the Kama bay enough - great little things. Had a couple myself - just about to throw a silver one on the MM infact.

Just make sure you use a slightly better fan - i saw real benefits from changing to akasa ambers or sharkoons.
