Arghhhh - Win7 and Vista quirk

This is one of those bugs that annoys the hell out of me but not on a daily basis.

In Win7 I prefer to have all my directories displayed in big icon or thumbnail format so photos preview themselves, and videos the same. Most of you lot do the same. I worked the same way in Vista too.

However on random occasions like last night, the icons would end up rebuilding themselves like the icon cache was somehow deleted. Is there any way to control this? On large amount of photos and vids the rebuilding of the icons or thumbnails takes absolutely ages. It's driving me up the wall

I remember this from when I tried Vista and I found a fix. Don't remember where I got it from but I saved the post off to a txt file: http://www.fwibble.org/Fixvistafolders.txt

Don't know if it works in Win7.
