Ok now I'm really confused. Was almost certain I was about to get a q6600 but now I'm not so sure.

What advantages will I have getting this over a e6750, bearing in mind I won't be doing video editing etc, just a bit of gaming and general faffing about?

Will the e6750 be faster for me in general use than the q6600?

PS i will NOT be overclocking

Cheers

How long will you be keeping the CPU for?

If you'll be replacing it within 12 months then you can consider the E6750. If you intend to keep it more than a year then get the Q6600.

Tho personally I'd just get the Q6600 anyway.
