ARK - What a joke

Installed it, stuck it to max, nope, high, nope, medium, nope... Had to slide down resolution scaler to get decent fps... On a 980 Ti at 1080p?????

The game is beyond buggy, looks like arse.

How, and why is this popular? It's titles like this that are killing the scene. People playing it and streaming creating this stupid childish 'hype' which sells the game. Which ultimately is a farce.

Yep, same here. Anything that's 'early access' is just a no go for me. The devs get their money and then give up on it.

Not sure why this deserved its own thread when there is an ARK one already so could do with a merge mods

But personally I'm loving this game, I've not had anything like the performance problems people have mentioned, there are some launch options which help out with this. Its not as pretty but for me personally its more about the game play, I can live with less grass on the ground.

I think the game is a bit like marmite, some hate it some love it, It takes a bit of time to get into it but if you get a decent server with some mates and get past the initial naked wrestling with dilo's its well worth the £20.

I'm just pointing out it's huge performance flaws. Not really talking about gameplay which is what the main thread is for. I don't want to come into it like a wrecking ball and 'troll' it.
