arkham knight - fixed?

You could always play it since launch on highend hardware I have put in over 100 hours with very few issues :D

Follow this guide to tweak ever so slightly for your system then its all good ;) There has only been 1 official patch so far the big patch is still in QA.

The only way you will be able to buy the game & play now is if you buy an existing unused digital code as it was withdrawn from sale due to all the noise from PC gamers about it being broken when its already in a superb condition ;)

This tells you how playable the game has been since launch day ;) the PC community reaction towards this game is shocking :(

Yes the game was pulled due people complaining for no reason.
The game was only pulled due to Steams refund policy as WB were losing a lot of money as each refund means they still have to pay Valve their 30% or whatever their cut % is  so it was losing money due to refunds as the game was not quite 100% for some configs. WB overeacted the game is very playable & has been since day one!

WB patched in the missing rain & AO FX the only thing the game really needs is slight tweaking of the ini files to improve how much RAM is allocated to the texture streaming system which is easy to do someone even created a tool to tweak it all here:

Yup, everything about the game was unbelievably polished. I don't really know why people were complaining so much. Ummm... Maybe because of the 30fps lock, missing effects, low-res texture bugs, shoddy ram management and biblical lag spikes? Just a gut feeling, though.

2 Missing FX were fixed in the 1st patch. All the other issues are very simple ini tweaks which is why someone created a tool on Steam for this

You're completely missing the point. Why should WE be responsibe for fixing the game we paid our hard earned money for? Or wait for patches restoring fx that should be there on lauch day?

If the issues were such "simple" .ini tweaks then why didn't the devs get rid of them prior to releasing the bloody game?

Stop defending WB, it was a huge ****-up on their side. Doesn't the fact that some random bloke had to sacrifice his precious time to make a tweak tool and managed to fix some of the issues the devs couldn't fix during the entire development cycle put the company in a bad light?

Besides, the tweak tool in question doesn't make the game perfectly playable. Lag spikes are still there, especially during batmobile sections. 60fps is a pipe dream and it shouldn't be, given how dated the engine is.

The fact that it works for you doesn't mean that people have no right to complain. I shouldn't be having any problems with this game with a 970 at 1500mhz and a 4790k but I do. Other games, some of which are bigger and better looking, run practically flawlessly. Something's not quite right here, is it?

EDIT: What's more, even the author of the said tweak tool said it won't make things perfect or work for everyone since the devs made a complete hash out of everything;p

I fully agree but every PC game seems to be broken at launch in some form for someone due to the millions of hardware configs out there at least it was fixed in a very short space of time.

Millions of different hardware configs no-one can possibly launch a PC game today which will work on all configs without months of expensive QA which would make PC games economically unfeasable.

I am not defending them at all just stating it works for most PC gamers with a few simple ini tweaks.

60FPS is easy to achieve just disable all Gameworks settings except the Enhanced Rain. Tweak the ini file how hard can that be I get no lag spikes @ 4K which is a very demanding resolution for any modern game especially this one

I had no problems with my GTX 970 & only 6Gb Ram ;)

I am going to have agree to disagree here the game works properly for many people. I have put in over 100 hours now the only crashes ingame I had were due to a VRam memory leak in Panessa studios when accessing the ingame map (which is overly complex anyway). I have played for 6-8 hours in 1 sitting with no crashes whatsover in several lengthy sessions.

Nvidia are guilty of using this game to sell their top end GPU's that seems to be what its designed around but even then you have to disable all Gameworks features except Enhanced Rain to get it to 60FPS. I am talking about 4K as well on a single GTX 980 Ti with a mechanical HDD not even an SSD ;) I guess thats why Nvidia sponsored the game & paid a lot of money to give it away with their GPU's !

If anyone cannot get 60FPS on a GTX 970 @ 1080 then they are doing something wrong that GPU has no problems with this game @ 1080 even the batmobile sections are very smooth. Its all about tuning your HDD or SSD to stream the textures smoothly an issue all UE3 games have this one uses streaming all the time due to how complex/large the ingame environment is.

The no 1 technical issue this game has is the texture streaming which is easily fixed & that causes stuttering if you do not tune the game to your config ;)

If all that's required is a slight tweaking of an ini file, why have the developers spent several weeks working on a patch that will fix it?

Again, most of your arguments are "it works on my machine". Most of the users are dissatisfied with the performance, you are in a minority. Otherwise, no one would make such a big deal out of it.

Every game has problems at launch but this game was just laughable.

So you say there are millions of hardware configs requiring months of high-budget QA and then you tell me some random bloke's tweak tool, which is free and was made in a couple of days, manages to get rid of 99% of the issues for all users? And if people can't get satisfactory performance on a 970, they are doing something wrong? Because that's what you make it sound like.

I AM using the the tweak tool. The thing is, it still doesn't make things perfect and I have to stick to 30fps (even then the game's not 100% stutter free), no matter which GW settings I use. Even the author says the game's broken.

Besides, why should I need to turn off all GW fx to make this run at decent framerates? I'm not at 4k or using a 750Ti.

It's not about tuning my HDD/SSD properly or using some kind of tweak tool. I don't have to use it for other games, they work from the get-go. Want to se a complex/large environment? Take a look at GTA 5 or Witcher 3. Neither one runs poor for me. I can get 60fps most of the time almost maxed. Haven't had problems with other UE3 games.

Are you sure you the game's subpar performance is exclusively my fault because I can't properly tweak the settings the devs have broken or fix texture streaming issues that are their fault to begin with? Maybe I should also design a new texture pack to at least make it look like the requirements are justified and the game came out in 2015? It only takes a couple of simple tweaks, after all;p
