To those of you who play this, do you find the graphics blurry/muddy at all? I can't really explain it (Might get a screenshot), but I have everything maxed out and it still seems odd. It's not motion blur because it happens when i'm standing still, and it's not anti-aliaising. The closest I can describe is it is similar to the PC version of GTA4 where you could turn on smoothing/blurry edges.

It's just not crisp and it's bugging me.

By default I've found the game tends to set a lower resolution than your screen res. Check that you're running at native res for your monitor if you're using an LCD.

I had been going to check this. I find that the distance gets very blurry with a post-processing effect. Because of this I left PP on low in ArmA2, I think the equivalent setting in OA is very low. For reference, OA PP settings normal to very high only change the level of SSAO - a big performance hog for no really visible benefit in my opinion. I just use PP at low.

To get a really crisp image, I turn off anti-aliasing, put the 3D resolution at 2560x1600 and output at 1920x1200. This is basically SSAA, and makes foliage in particular look amazing.

Wait, what's this 3D res then? Mine is set lower than my screen res, and I just didn't touch it, because I assumed it was 3D as in wearing 3D glasses job.

just bought this from steam, i was well p****d off with the awful graphics.
turned off post processing as mentioned on this thread, AA to low. THANKS, think i might enjoy my new game now. difference is amazing.

3d res defisntly needs to be the same as you're monitor or it will look cack.arma is actually a nice looking game if configured properly.
Just don't expect to jump on a 64 man server though at max res and play smoothly, it eats cpus for breakfast.

Imo pp. should ber turned off
