Just wondering if ARMA 2 will run on a Geforce 7600GT ?

Here are the rest of my awful specs :

Pentium 4 3.06ghz
2gb Ram
Nvidia Geforce 7600GT

If not could I overclock it to squeeze more power ?

If not whats a decent card that will run it for under £150

Cheers

People are struggling on higher end computers. The 4870 seems like a nice card to get around the £100 mark.

You might also consider a new CPU, duo/quad seem to benefit from what people are posting on here.

Im still waiting on my copy but hopefully it should be here tomorrow so i will post my results for you

It runs like epic winsauce of the deities on the rig below, at 1920x1200 on high with 100% render and 2KM view distance...

what rig below? :p

*edit* ah, your sig just took ages to load!

@OP

I doubt chucking a £150 card in that rig will actually make the game play.. a 3Ghz netburst CPU is seriously going to bottleneck you. Sorry :(

Unfortunately i think you are up against it with your system, even if it does run i think you will find it unplayable, a m8 of mine has Core2Duo, 2GB ram, 8500GT running Vista 32 and cannot get this game playable, if he puts the settings so it runs smooth the graphics are blocky to the point that he cannot make out other players :(

On your upgrade, £150 will buy you a lot of card right now, but i think your CPU would bottle neck a £150 GFX card.

If you can scrape together another £200, the Titan £350 PC OcUK are selling right now should run it reasonably well.

Well I've got it running fairly smoothly , albeit on lowest settings and with the anti-bloom/motion blur mod. It looks like the old Delta Force game though but it IS playable.

Just finished helicopter training and the scope for this game is incredible.

Can't decide wether or not to risk a new G card to get it looking prettier or if it will make little difference. I am having no trouble with jumpy graphics or sound on these settings. What would the symptoms of an underpowered CPU be ?

Rubbish FPS :p

Seriously, I'd reconsider considering chucking more money at that rig. Your CPU is the minimum required CPU for this game, and will definitely bottleneck any new midrange GPU.

Bit late, but aye chap, that's the one. A friend at work nabbed one and I did the OS install, turned out to be a cracking rig for the money, so good in fact I'm buying one for my old man so he can finally enjoy the likes of ArmA, CoD4 and L4D in all their glory. :)
