Arma 4 - Just some questions please

Hi there, please can you answer some questions for me.

For some reason I dont know if its a bug or if I've accidently pressed a button on the keyboard and turned a feature off or something but when I'm playing single player I noticed I cant see where I am on the map and dont know where to go, theres no orange symbol to tell me where to go and theres no red dot to show where I am, so it makes things difficult.

Also I have a pretty good new PC and I'm having trouble setting the settings for the graphics and getting a good frame rate at the same time, I've read some stickies on this and I've tried ammending settings as they say but can you tell me is there anything I can ammend in windows which can make a difference. All other games run perfectly in max settings like cod4, chronicles of ridick dark athena etc.

Any ideas?

When you start a campaign you can select the difficulty level
Switch to recruit level and you will get those things back
IF you were buggering about with the individual items for each difficulty level , you can use
the default option to reset it to the default the games coems with
